This is my first official post on this site. Please pardon the appearance. I will work on the pages in this site over the next couple of weeks. I thought that I would just start posting and the site can catch up.
“Off with your hats”or should I say on with your hats. I have set up this blog to discuss blogging matters. I am not a blogging expert but I think that it would be good for me to tell others about my blogging experiences. I would add that I am only a newbie and I have not yet discovered the magnetization experience. It’s too early in my blogging career.
This is not another quick buck promise website. Yes I do and will have affiliate products that I would like you to buy. I will disclose they are affiliates. You have to make the decision to purchase. Do your own research. If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is too good to be true. It probably over promises and under delivers. Personally I like people and products that make promises and over deliver. When I discover this I will tell you. I will not be influenced in my reviews by my affiliations – my aim is to tell you the pros and cons. Perhaps this will lose sales of advertised products but I would rather that than have you buy something through here that is inappropriate to your needs.
I was up the other night looking at Infomercials (a bad night LOL) Someone was offering a program to make thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars by setting up multiple websites. What’s the deal? It only costs $39! And yes I have swamp land in Florida, or perhaps you would rather buy the Brooklyn Bridge? Maybe the program does work but not without significant work and a considerable amount of investment of hard earned dollars. These extra premium services is where the promoter really make money. Be careful also of “black hat” techniques to fool Google for example. They will be found out and you on line reputation will be soiled – be careful – do not fall for it.
I am a relative newbie blogger. Last year in May I started a blog on Blogger called IFRSCanada:The devilisinthedetails. The objective was to showcase my skills to obtain consulting work. There were other objectives as well. In a future posts I will talk about the initial objectives I had for that blog and the progress so far. I will also speak about why I moved to a new site for the blog.
I will post about once or twice a week roughly. I may post more often if I get questions related to blogging on my other sites or I come across a burning issue I want to write about. I will not speak about technical blogging issues on my other sites Many Hatty Returns and The IFRS Exorcist.
I received a question about what theme and software I used for my new IFRS Exorcist site. It is a WordPress site with a paid theme but it is not “out of the box”so I need to spend some time setting out its ingredients. I will share it with you in my next post. Please stay tuned.
By the way I started to experiment with Twitter on my IFRS site. Please see the Pink box on the side bar.
